Cobra Gold 2012

It's once again back to Thailand, the largest military co-exercise in South East Asia, Cobra Gold 2012.It's main purpose is to advance the readinessof participate countries for any circumstance that might occur, both civil and combat situations. The Cobra Gold start with two countries, Thai and the United State , however,after a long history of collaborative nowadays many countries are eager to participant in Cobra Gold to let their forces gain more real experience, for instance, Japan, the republic of Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

Tha main forces that participate in this excercise are from the Royal Thai Army, Navy and Air Force. The Bravo Company, 1st Battalion 4th Marines, 31st Marines Expeditionary Unit from the United Stateis also the main participant. The Cobra Gold excercise includes bilateral amphibious assault, mechanized raid, noncombatant evacuation operation and a combined arms live fire exercise, among several other training events. Many of those excercies had been proved how worth it is in the Tohoku Earthquake last year.
