Borneo Rainforest Workshop 2013 Documentary Photography & Environmental Awareness
04, February 2013
With James Whitlow Delano
September 1-10 2013
In The Heart of Bornoe: Bario, Miri and Bintulu, Sarawak, Malaysia ¦
The challenge for every reportage photographer should be to find your own path and develop your own unique way of visual storytelling; in short, to stand apart. This workshop will offer personalized instruction on how to create a project and bring it to fruition. Participant will propose a story idea, go out and shoot it daily, receive daily critiques and editing advice individually.
Message from James Whitlow Delano:
“I want to share with a small group of 8 environmentally-concerned photographers at last, most remote inhabited valley in Sarawak surrounded by untouched, virgin forest where nomadic Penan hunter-gather wander, and loggers have not yet reached: Bario, the Kelabit Dayak peoples’s “World Within”, if I may borrow the name coined by British explorer, author and naturalist, Tom Harrison.”
